2013/9/21 – Douglas Creek Canyon South / 道格拉斯溪峽谷南段

  • Reading time:2 mins read
Kodak moment by Douglas Canyon

Last day of summer and the weather in the Cascades immediate turned sour. It was time to head east once again. But it wasn’t without spending a couple of hours lying in bed trying to figure out where to go first before the dogs and I finally got out, got ready, and got out of town.

There was nothing epic about this hike, other than the fact that we got sun and got to climb hike walk about for a bit. I had originally planned to traverse westerly along the ridge line after reaching it, but quickly changed my mind upon encountering a (tiny) rattlesnake. Yep, I’m a chicken when it comes to reptile, and this was the second time I had seen one this year. Eek!

Needless to say, the dogs got put back on leash immediately and we turned around to somewhere lower for our group photo before making our way back to the car.
