Getting to the peak itself was a walk in the park once we got ourselves up to Mailbox Peak. Views weren’t as spectacular as Mailbox, but the peak itself provided much solitude that made it worthwhile in leaving the Mailbox crowd behind.
There was just enough snow to traverse the ridge crest with ease. A couple of sketchy spots where it was necessary to negotiate boulders as opposed to stepping over them.
Most views, including Mailbox, came from the southwest, and some northern peaks were visible by peeking through trees and branches.
