This scramble can easily be combined with Greenway Mountain if you start early enough. Summit is woodsy to the north and the south. Although Rainier can still be seen from the east slope of the ridge once on the summit. The neighboring Mount Washington can be seen by peeking through trees, just won’t be able to get a decent photo.
We headed down the north ridge without knowing how brushy it was. The trees were so closely grown that I had a hard time fitting through them. It must have taken us an extra hour between route finding and negotiating trees to get back to the car.
