The hike was done as part of the Seattle Mountaineers Winter Mountaineering field trip. Even though snowshoes and skis weren’t allowed on this trip, snowshoes at least were needed past the trail junction just above the radio tower.
It was snowing the entire time we were up there and got about 1 ½ feet of new snow by the time we left. The group got a chance to build a snow cave and do some mixed climbing on snow and ice.
