I wanted to climb The Louvre today, but road walk beyond gated Road 4315 looked unappealing. So pups and I drove one drainage north and hiked the Paris Creek Trail to the pass instead. The trailhead was located directly across the road down to Davis Peak Trailhead.

Not much to see in Paris Creek Basin since we were in trees most of the time. Then views began to open up as we entered North Fork Pass Creek Basin and made our way to the pass that separated Paris Creek from Big Boulder Creek on the north side.

Views weren’t too bad up here, except the ridge was a little jagged to walk on. From the pass I saw my original plan staring me down from head of the basin.
