Our first time visiting the coulee and we very much enjoyed it. We walked from the gated entrance to the trailhead and worked our way clockwise around Umatilla Rock. It was fairly windy and all the lakes appeared to be frozen after pups tested them out. I was surprised not to see anyone in the coulee on a day as gorgeous as this. This might have just become my favorite coulee.
