Overnight combo trip with North Peak East Ridge.
My fourth and final basic rock lead with Seattle Mountaineers this season and my second time back to the area in three and a half weeks. Instead of going up the usual Mountaineers basic route, our group went up the basic route on the southwest face of East Ingalls Peak.
Having gone up the North Peak twice in the last year, I would have to say this route was more fun, albeit shorter than I would have liked.
The basic students all climbed wonderfully and everyone got up and down safely. They made their way back to the trailhead while us four rock leaders stayed the night to climb the east ridge of North Peak at the crack of dawn.
