After yesterday’s hike, I had thought about just hanging out at the motel room and catching up on blogging. Today’s weather was supposed to be at its worst this week. But after seeing the late arrival of rain in the forecast, I figured we go for a walk in the city.

The fact that the weather could’ve been worse and the rain came much later than forecast, I was perfectly fine without the views on this trip. This time we paid Rooster Comb a second visit and a fourth visit on Saddle Rock. Higher elevations in both places were obscured by heavy clouds.

It did, however, snow a little bit while we were coming back down from the hill above Saddle Rock. And with poor visibility, a few people I met on the trail including myself got disoriented and couldn’t find the rock formation until after snowing stopped.

After having been to Saddle Rock three other times, I just found out about a loop trail this time from other hikers. We’ll need to try out the loop trail on our next visit, on a sunny day.
