Continuing our exploration of lesser-known high points along the I-90 corridor. Up to this point, all high points including Mount Kent had been pure scrambles, so no problem for the pups. These peaks sit farther away from the highway and take a bit longer to get to.
Mount Kent did not disappoint as far as views go. Southern aspect of McClellan Butte looked a lot less intimidating. Getting into the upper basin of the mountain turned out to be not as bad as I had anticipated. Traversing under Duke and Duchess of Kent was a bit nerve-racking due to potential rockfall. Should have remembered to pack my helmet!
Access: NF-9020 end of drivable road
