Second time getting up this mountain, this time with two four-legged companions. No snow in lower parts just yet, so I was able to drive to just before the hairpin at 3,600′ to start the scramble. It wasn’t long before we reached Lichtenwasser Lake, looked nice as it’s always been. Lichtenberg Mountain summit was visible from the lake despite the constant moving clouds.
Southeast ridge was completely socked in when we got up, but periodically clouds would dissipate to reveal a bit views south of the mountain. Lake basin was mostly clear of clouds and visible most of the time from the summit. I was hoping to see Rock Mountain or Labyrinth Mountain but no luck in either direction.
