

I decided to take a more direct route by scrambling up the south ridge just after the first Bean Creek crossing. The creek crossing here is also more forgiving than the one farther up heading toward Bean Basin.
The ridge is mostly snow free until the last 1,000 feet or so. You can still bypass the snow by staying on the west, the rock side.
Nice views from both peak, but much more spectacular on Mary, with Stuart Range in full view.
