2011/2/12 – Sun Top / 日頂山

  • Reading time:1 mins read

As I tried to look for a hike in an area with little or no rain, I came across this one. The South Cascades region wasn’t going to be get rain until early afternoon. That would give us plenty of time to get to the top, but with the possibility of seeing rain the way down. Mostly high clouds at the top with severe wind, but I was able to snatch some nice pictures.

The hike overall was moderate, as we spent most of our time on a forest service road. From end of the service road to the lookout site was steeper, but it was totally doable in my micropikes. Snowshoes were strapped to my backpack the entire time.
