Needless to say, no hiking on that day. The SUV got stuck in the mud/slush and spent hours trying to shovel the snow to get it out. Luckily, a few passing jeeps got the car out with a towing cable. The dogs were no where to be found after they started following a cross-country skier up the road. They got a ride back in one of the jeeps that came to my rescue.
