Thanks to a two-day-old trip report, highway was still open clear to the trailhead.
Today pup and I finished off our Thanksgiving week hiking streak on one of my favorite mountains by Snoqualmie Pass.
While waiting for mountain pass conditions to improve, yellow pup and I spent another day out east.
After seeing the late arrival of rain in the forecast, I figured we go for a walk in the city.
We left for Eastern Washington early this morning but didn’t get over Snoqualmie Pass before the snowfall.
In an effort to avoid the potentially dire Thanksgiving weather, I decided to move our pilgrimage to the peak ahead by two days.
Pup and I took advantage of another day of gorgeous weekend weather by visiting this new destination past Kendall Katwalk.
In retrospect, we could have included Tucquala Peak as part of the Nursery Peak climb.
Saturday snow level along the Highway 2 corridor was around 3,000'; today the first patch of snow appeared just above 5,000'.
It was only a matter of time before we came back to finish singing song of the Three Witches.
Swakane Peak continued to be one of my favorite rainy day and solitude seeking go-tos.
